American Honda Motor Co., Inc. revealed strong April sales results with a 12.5 percent increase compared to figures a year ago, as announced by Queens Honda dealer, Hillside Honda.

The Honda Division finished up 11.7 percent from April 2009 figures while the Acura Division had a 21.6 percent increase from the prior April.

Some of the top-selling vehicles were light trucks, which had sales increases of 38.1 percent for the month. The CR-V crossover utility vehicle was up 36.8 percent, the Odyssey minivan was up 11.8 percent, and the Pilot sport utility vehicle was up 41.9 percent.

Honda Accord and Honda Civic also had strong months, with 31,766 and 25,042 vehicles sold, respectively. Accord has been one of Car and Driver‘s 10Best for 23 straight years, while the Civic is one of the most affordable cars on the road, earning a Consumer Guide “Best Buy” designation in 2009.
